Sheffield United on the verge of completing long-term deal for Rhian Brewster

Despite Liverpool FC Rhian Brewster being extremely close to sealing an exit from the Merseyside outfit before the ongoing summer transfer window closes on October 5, Sheffield United are believed to be halting over the asking price being demanded by Liverpool FC.

The Blades have secured the pole position to sign the 20-year old highly-promising forward on a permanent basis after it has become understood that Brewster does not fit into Jurgen Klopp’s current plans at Anfield.

However, Chris Wilder’s side are pondering whether to shell out a fee in the region of £25 million to bring the England U21 talent to Brammall Lane. Wilder has reportedly already held talks with both Klopp and Brewster and Liverpool FC will not stand in the player’s way of securing a move to Sheffield United.

The arrival of Diogo Jota from Wolves this summer leads to further speculationt that the Portuguese international would serve as cover to the Reds’ front trio of Mane, Salah, and Firmino. Moreover, the presence of fringe duo of Divock Orig and Takumi Minamino at the club, both of whom impressed in Liverpool FC’s recent Carabao Cup victory over Lincoln City, means that Brewster’s time to call it quits at Anfield is edging closer.
