New Liverpool FC arrival Thiago Alcantara, who had tested positive for COVID-19 a while ago and had been forced to go into self-isolation, has taken to Instagram to post a picture of him walking the streets of Liverpool, a clear indication that the Spanish international is close to making a return to first-team action.
Following Thiago’s singing from Bayern Munich, the 29-year old had featured just once in the Reds shirt, in a 2-0 victory over Chelsea, with the Spaniard replacing Jordan Henderson at half-time and enjoying a superb debut appearance for the Merseyside giants.
However, soon after the game at Stamford Bridge, it had been confirmed by the club itself that Thiago had tested positive for COVID-19 and will, as a result, miss the on-field action for the upcoming two weeks.
A majority of the Liverpool FC supporters will no doubt be glad to see Thiago’s recent post across his Instagram, as it could potentially mean that the playmaker will be in contention to start next weekend’s Premier League fixture against city rivals Everton.
