Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool FC will be in the market for FC Barcelona outcast Ousmane Dembele in January should the Catalan giants want to offload the Frenchman at that time, according to reports from Sport.
The winger has been a shadow of his former self at Camp Nou, in comparison to his great showings for Borussia Dortmund in German top-flight football, ever since he made the move to Spain in 2017. And reports suggest that Barca would not fret over parting ways with the French international should the need to do so arise in January.
Liverpool FC had been interested in signing Dembele this summer as well, however, later reports had suggested that the FC Barcelona attacker had snubbed the Merseyside giants due to his desire to fight for a place in new manager Ronald Koeman’s starting XI, and the subsequent departure of Luis Suarez to Atletico Madrid meaning that Dembele could be in the Dutchman’s plans for the 2020-21 season.
Should Jurgen Klopp attempt to plot a swoop for Dembele in the winter transfer window, the Liverpool FC boss will surely be challenged by Manchester United, who are also equally interested in signing the Frenchman.
