Members of the Liverpool FC medical staff have been thanked profusely by Alisson Becker, following the Reds No.1 making a faster recovery than expected from his shoulder injury that had been tipped to keep the goalkeeper for longer than a month out on the sidelines.
After sustaining the injury in a training collision prior to Arsenal’s visit to Anfield in the Premier League, reports had confirmed that Alisson was set to miss the Merseyside outfit’s forthcoming fixtures for the next 4-6 weeks.
However, the Brazilian international starred in the Reds’ 2-1 victory against Sheffield United over the weekend, taking the first-choice goalkeeper duties from Adrian, with the Spaniard enduring a shaky run of form between the sticks.
Speaking to reporters ahead of Liverpool FC hosting Midtjylland in the UEFA Champions League, Alisson was lavish in his praise for the club’s physios and expressed gratitude towards them for accelerating his return to the pitch from a shoulder problem.
“It’s good to be back. I’m really happy. I try to give my best and I have the top physios on my side, helping me to accelerate the recovery process,” Alisson said ahead of facing FC Midtjylland on Tuesday.
“As soon as the doctor told me it was four to six weeks, I told him ‘no doc, we go to two or three weeks maximum!’
“He agreed with me, and then we just went for it. I’m really happy to be back, and I want to thank the physios, the fitness staff, the doctors and the goalie coaches who helped me on this process.
“But now, this is what the Lord say, he who created you, Jacob, he who formed you, Israel: “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine.”

Liverpool FC fans were undoubtedly delighted to see their ever-favourite Alisson back in the goal for the Sheffield United game on Saturday after Adrian’s error-prone moments had cost Jurgen Klopp’s side a great deal of trouble over the last few weeks.
