Injury Update

Latest reports confirm that Fabinho’s hamstring injury not as bad as feared first

In what would come as a massive relief to Jurgen Klopp and his injury-hit defensive core of Liverpool FC, scans on Fabinho’s recent hamstring injury have revealed that the 27-year old may not become a major absentee for the Merseyside outfit in the coming weeks.

Reports from the Daily Mirror state that the results of the scan indicate that Fabinho has sustained a grade-one or grade-two tear in his hamstring, which had forced the player to withdraw from the Anfield pitch during Tuesday night’s Champions League win at the half-hour mark.

A grade-one or grade-two tear would reportedly be classified as a minor issue for the Brazilian international and would ensure that he stages a comeback to the first-team action for the Reds very soon in the future.

However, despite promising signs to Fabinho’s injury, he is bound to miss Liverpool FC’s upcoming fixture in the Premier League on Saturday, when West Ham United make the trip to Anfield.

The Reds’ injury troubles to star players, especially their centre-back names, have intensified in the past few weeks, with Virgil van Dijk’s long-term ACL injury being followed by the recently returned Joel Matip again being a victim to a significant spell on the sidelines.
