Liverpool keep an eye on contract rebel Davinson Sanchez

Tottenham Hotspur centre-back Davinson Sanchez’s desire to leave the North London outfit has put the Columbian international on Liverpool FC’s radar, according to reports from Don Balon.

Jurgen Klopp’s side are on the hunt for additional reinforcements in the upcoming winter transfer window on the back of long-term injury spells potentially ending Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez’s hopes of featuring again this season.

And despite latest reports claiming that the Merseysiders will not be induced to sign another centre-back in January, Sanchez’s willingness to exit Tottenham Hotspurs might convince Klopp to make a move for the highly-rated central defender.

The 24-year-old was seriously pondering over sealing a move to Manchester United last summer but ended up staying put at Spurs, however, the recent chain of events involving his limited game-time for Jose Mourinho’s side will play a major factor in Sanchez wanting to seek a January exit.

Liverpool FC will be extremely eager on signing a player of Sanchez’s stature, one who has significant experience of playing senior level football in the Premier League, and at just 24 years of age, presents himself as a fantastic option to fill in for the injured centre-back stars at Anfield.
