Injury Update

Diogo Jota’s recent injury niggle makes the in-form attacker doubtful for Fulham clash on Sunday

The Reds could lineup on Sunday against Fulham without Diogo Jota as the Portuguese international forward picked up a knock leading up to Jurgen Klopp’s men visiting the Craven Cottage over the weekend.

Jota has been in fine form for the Merseyside Reds since his move to Anfield this summer and with nine goals in 15 appearances, his absence in the Liverpool FC XI on Sunday could pave the way for Jurgen Klopp to resort to his usual front trio of Salah, Mane, and Firmino.

In his pre-match interview ahead of his team facing Fulham away from home, Klopp revealed that Jota has sustained a knock, however, the Liverpool FC boss refused to rule out the ex-Wolves man from featuring against the Craven Cottage outfit come Sunday.

Kostas Tsimikas, another of Liverpool FC’s purchases in this summer’s transfer window, was also indicated to be on his way to full fitness after the Greek left-back started the mid-week Champions League draw against Midtjylland.

“Kostas, we have to see,” said Klopp.

“Diogo got a knock as well.

Both Jota and Tsimikas had featured majorly in Wednesday night’s 1-1 stalemate at the MCH Arena in Denmark, however, the later was taken off after an hour with Andy Robertson taking his place on the pitch.
