Mohammad Salah makes huge admission over Liverpool future

Mohammad Salah insists his long-term future lies in the Liverpool FC colours merely a month after the Egyptian international had voiced hopes of playing in the La Liga, with the likes of FC Barcelona and Real Madrid keen on the wantaway forward.

The 28-year-old Salah admitted, in a recent interview, of being desirous of extending his stay at Anfield but claimed that a firm decision over his future could be taken only by the Liverpool FC owners.

Speaking to TV2, Salah said that he harboured hopes of wanting to clinch as many trophies as possible whilst turning out for Jurgen Klopp’s outfit, however, fell one step short on committing his future in the Reds shirt as a number of top clubs across Europe continue to monitor his situation heading into the summer.

‘If you ask, I say I want to stay here as long as I can, but as I have said before, it is in the hands of the club.

‘I will always give 100 per cent to the last minute I am in this club and I want to win as many trophies as I can.

‘And I want to give 100 per cent to the people, who show me love all the time.’

The former Chelsea man’s unhappiness at being overlooked for the skipper’s armband for Liverpool FC’s final UCL group stage fixture, coupled with a desire to be handed a much-improved deal, had given rise to talk that Salah may seek to take the exit door out of Anfield come the summer transfer window.
