Paulo Dybala’s unresolved contract situation of interest to Liverpool

Paulo Dybala’s failure to agree upon improved terms with Serie A outfit Juventus has led to speculation that Liverpool FC could be joined by arch-foes Manchester United in the race to sign the Argentine forward when the summer arrives.

The Merseyside Reds are believed to be on the hunt for attacking reinforcements in the close-season transfer window as Jurgen Klopp’s side struggle to emulate their attacking brand of football from previous years in what has largely been a faltering title-defence from the Anfield giants.

Dybala is seen as a viable addition to the first-team ranks at Klopp’s disposal and with Juventus failing to tie down their star attacker to a much-extended deal, Liverpool FC are reportedly monitoring the former Parma man’s situation closely, according to Goal.

Klopp would be keen on making a move for the forward should Dybala be open to sealing a move away from Italy in the summer, with the Reds gaffer understood to be wanting to shore up an under-fire frontline.

Manchester United will surely battle it out with their top-flight rivals for the Juventus first-teamer’s signature as Ole Gunnar Solskajer frets over the long-term future of Edinson Cavani beyond the close of the ongoing campaign.
