Three changes are made by Jurgen Klopp in his XI that would take the field shortly at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium to face Real Madrid in the first of the two-legged quarter-finals clash of the UEFA Champions League.
From the side that emerged 3-0 victors over Arsenal this past weekend, Diogo Jota deservedly earns a recall at the expense of Roberto Firmino who drops down to the bench.
Revamped midfield for the visitors
Naby Keita is the second fresh face on the starting team sheet as he comes in for James Milner who had been handed a surprise outing in North London last Saturday.
Rounding up the changes in the XI is Gini Wijnaldum with the Holland international who had been on the bench last time around coming in for Thiago Alcantara in the middle of the park for Jurgen Klopp’s side.
Sadio Mane retains his spot despite patchy form
The Senegal forward has held on to his starting spot in the Liverpool FC frontline despite Mane going nine top-flight outings without a goal to his name.
He would be hoping to get back amongst the goals when partnered up top by the likes of Jota and Mohammad Salah as the trio face a Real Madrid backline which misses the important figures of Sergio Ramos and Raphaël Varane.
Here is how both sides lineup for the upcoming Champions League fixture:
