Liverpool’s top-four hopes were given a significant boost courtesy of their recent victory at Old Trafford and Jurgen Klopp’s side will hope to carry on their momentum going up next against West Brom on Sunday.
The Merseyside Reds put out a spirited display when facing Ole Gunnar Solskajer’s Manchester United outfit earlier this week in what turned out to be a memorable 4-2 win on their travels away from home.
Let us now take a look at how Jurgen Klopp might set his Liverpool side for the game against Manchester United-
4-3-3
Alisson Becker will continue in goal behind a defensive core which could see the return of Ozan Kabak following his recent spell on the sidelines owing to injury.
Should Kabak not be deemed fit for the clash it could be Fabinho again slotting in at centre-back or Klopp deciding to go ahead with Rhys Williams following his involvement in the midweek fixture.
The midfield is not likely to see any changes should Fabinho not be shifted to the backline with Thiago Alcantara and Gini Wijnaldum the usual faces in the centre of the park for Liverpool.
The front trio of Roberto Firmino, Mohammad Salah and Diogo Jota all scored last time around and will be expected to do well against West Brom as well, meaning Sadio Mane will have to suffice with a place on the bench.
