Liverpool are confident of getting a special deal over the line in the next few weeks. After doing some amazing, praiseworthy business in the transfer window, Liverpool are trying to get Sadio Mane on a new contract.
Liverpool bought Naby Keita, Alisson Becker and Fabinho in this summer transfer window and have strengthened very key areas on the pitch. They also got Salah a new contract without a release clause, so as to reward him for his breakthrough season last year.
While they’re doing all this, they’re building a team for the future. Klopp took time to build his project and now, he has made the signings to take Liverpool to the next level. Liverpool are now trying to get Sadio Mane on a new five year contract.
With Salah and Mane on either flanks, Liverpool have a duel threat. Both possess a great mix of speed, strength and finishing. Liverpool can counter attack with either of them, but when they’re together they race through the pitch. We saw it in the Crystal Palace match, when just one pass from Salah got Mane through on goal.
Salah sort of overshadowed Mane last season , but the Senegalese should not be underestimated at any circumstances. As much as we’ve seen this season, this could just be the season Mane needed to attain world class status and recognition.
With Salah, Mane and Firmino, Liverpool have built themselves an attack that can be counted amongst the best in Europe. New signings, Fabinho and Keita give a different dynamic to the Liverpool midfield.
To be an extreme critic, Liverpool are just another centre-back away from being flawless. However, Liverpool look like they have all the weapons in their armory. Fans should be looking forward to winning a major trophy after a long wait.
