Liverpool seeking a paltry £7 million offer to sanction Xherdan Shaqiri’s sale this summer

Xherdan Shaqiri could be set to leave Anfield in a major cut-price deal, according to reports from The Express, with Liverpool seeking just £7 million to part ways with their fringe first-teamer in the summer.

Shaqiri has struggled for minutes on the pitch over the last couple of seasons and with the transfer window currently underway, there is talk of the Swiss international winger moving elsewhere to grab more gametime.

Serie A clubs Lazio and AS Roma have been tipped to be in the fray to make a move for the 28-year-old and the new report claims that Turkish outfits Galatasaray and Fenerbahce are also keen on signing Shaqiri ahead of the new campaign.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is not expected to bring in attacking reinforcements this summer with the German already having Diogo Jota to provide cover for his usual front three of Roberto Firmino, Mohammad Salah and Sadio Mane.

However, Klopp is understood to be prioritising a swoop for Brighton’s highly-rated midfield talent Yves Bissouma who has also been tracked by North London giants Arsenal after his influential role in Brighton’s Premier League campaign this past season.
