Race begins to heat up amongst a host of English clubs to sign Liverpool starlet Neco Williams

There are a host of sides across the country wanting to take on the Liverpool full-back Neco Williams who is believed to be keen on shipped out on a season-long loan this summer to further his playing opportunities.

Reports from TeamTalk claim that the Welsh duo Swansea City and Cardiff City are joined by Premier League clubs Norwich and Burnley in the race to sign the 20-year-old Williams who is valued highly by his Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp.

With Trent Alexander-Arnold the first-choice right-back at Anfield, Williams has seen regular football coming his way in a very sparse manner since his breakthrough in the senior squad and it could be a right move for the Welshman to spend a season away from the club.

Norwich City who will be rejoining the Premier League next season after their promotion are understood to be on the lookout for full-back options should they lose out on their star player Max Aarons who has courted much interest from Premier League clubs.

However, Klopp’s plans to ship out Williams on a loan in the summer could have taken a hit of late with Alexander-Arnold sustaining a thigh injury last week which has ruled him out of the upcoming UEFA Euros and put his fitness in time for the 2021-22 season in major doubt.
