Leicester City and Chelsea are in line to offer Liverpool some tough competition for landing the signature of the highly-rated RB Salzburg forward Patson Daka who is linked with a summer move away from Austria, claim reports from The Mirror.
Daka has grown into an influential figure for the Salzburg side this past season and with interest brewing in the pacy striker from a host of sides across the continent, Salzburg will find it quite hard to rebuff offers coming their way.
Liverpool’s eyeing of Daka stems from the fact that Jurgen Klopp has been on the hunt for an additional option to bolster his attacking line which is expected to lose the fringe likes of Xherdan Shaqiri and Divock Origi in this summer’s transfer window.
The Merseysiders have made Daka a major option on their wishlist for the summer considering that Klopp’s attacking options barring Salah and the new recruit Jota had failed to hit the ground running last time around.
For Chelsea, it could be the potential failure to land either of their priority targets in Erling Haaland and Romelu Lukaku that Thomas Tuchel seeks a summer swoop for the 22-year-old 34-goal forward Daka.
