Liverpool open talks with Dutch outfit PSV for Donyell Malen’s signing

Donyell Malen is one name in European football that has attracted significant attention from the continent’s biggest clubs on the back of the Dutch striker’s terrific form this last season for PSV.

Malen found the back of the net 27 times in league action and with the player currently performing as per expectations at the UEFA European Championships, Liverpool have pondered over a swoop for the 22-year-old forward.

Jurgen Klopp’s side are backed to use the summer transfer window to bring in a new attacker and bolster their existing name up top on the pitch as Klopp is resigned to losing out on Divock Origi ahead of the next season.

The Belgium international’s sparse first-team involvement these past couple of years have convinced him to seek an exit from Anfield and reports from Sky Sports Germany claim that Malen is being lined up as a replacement for Origi at Liverpool and the club have gone ahead to open talks with PSV over their player.

Malen will surely be a formidable addition to the attacking options available at Klopp’s disposal for the upcoming campaign which already boasts of the likes of Mohammad Salah, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Diogo Jota.
