Premier League new boys Brentford are set to pose a challenge to Portuguese giants Benfica for the signature of Liverpool’s wantaway first-teamer Harry Wilson in this summer’s transfer window.
Reports from The Athletic claim that Brentford along with the now relegated West Bromwich Albion are involved in the pursuit of the 24-year-old Wilson who has been tipped to call it quits at Anfield ahead of the next season’s start.
The Wales international has been a regular name on the Liverpool loanee list but speculation is rife that Wilson wants to leave the Merseysiders on a permanent basis this summer and try his luck elsewhere.

Interest in the Welshman has come from Liga NOS outfit Benfica who are in the transfer market for attacking reinforcements but it seems as if they are in line to face a battle from Brentford who will be playing in the Premier League this coming season after clinching promotion.
Swansea City are another club that are claimed to be in the fray for Wilson with their manager Steve Cooper a huge admirer of the player’s talent and considering Cooper is being linked with the top job at Fulham, the Craven Cottage outfit could also be a new entrant in the race to land the signature of the Liverpool outcast.
