19-year-old Santos starlet Kaio Jorge has emerged as a viable target for Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool in this summer’s transfer window, claim recent reports from the Liverpool Echo.
Jorge has been eyed up by Serie A heavyweights AC Milan as well and it is believed that Liverpool are set to pose a tough challenge to the Italians for landing the signature of the teenage starlet.
AC Milan have been backed to be the frontrunners for Jorge’s signing ahead of the start of the new season but it remains to be seen whether Liverpool’s entry into the fray makes it more difficult for Stefano Pioli’s side to ensure a smooth flow of transfer proceedings.
Liverpool have been minor players in the transfer window currently underway with France centre-back Ibrahima Konate’s signing the only piece of business done by Jurgen Klopp and Co. this summer.
Names of Brighton’s Yves Bissouma and Italy’s Euros-winning star forward Domenico Berardi have been linked with a move to Anfield but Klopp is yet to reach out to the club with a formal offer.
