Liverpool defender Tony Gallacher poised to seal move to Sunderland

Liverpool defensive player Tony Gallacher is set to head out the exit door at Anfield with Sunderland backed to be the player’s next destination this summer.

Reports from the Liverpool Echo claim that the Reds are in line to be approached by Sunderland who are keen on signing the 22-year-old full-back with a permanent move also possible should Liverpool relent to the same.

The Reds are backed to ship out the fringe players in the first-team camp in the transfer window now underway and Gallacher, who is far down the pecking order in the left-back role, will be following the likes of Marko Grujic and Harry Wilson on the way out of Anfield.

Grujic became the first notable fringe first-teamer in the Reds ranks to seal his exit with the Serbian international midfielder signing for his long-term suitors FC Porto in a permanent deal as Klopp eyes raising funds through the sale of the deadwood players within his camp.

Welsh forward Harry Wilson was the second in line to depart Liverpool after Grujic with the 24-year-old winger signing for Championship outfit Fulham who had emerged frontrunners in the race to sign ahead of a host of other clubs.
