Adrien Rabiot is a talented French midfielder who plies his trades with PSG, but there has been a lot of speculation regarding his future recently. Rabiot’s contract ends next summer and there has been no update from his part regarding an extension.
The midfielder is still 23 despite being a mainstay in the PSG squad for the past 3-4 years. He was one of the main transfer targets for Barcelona who looked to find replacements for Andres Iniesta. He also has the option to sign a pre-contract with any club in January itself.
Adrien Rabiot is more of a defensive midfielder and him coming in, could mean the end of Jordan Henderson. Henderson has recently signed a “long-term contract” with Liverpool and Klopp is a huge admirer of him. Jordan is Liverpool through and through and he knows the club inside out.
Rabiot must have been disappointed after he was overlooked by Didier Deschamps for the World Cup. The midfielder played 33 games in the League last year which signifies his importance to the French champions.
Jurgen Klopp is reportedly a huge admirer of the PSG midfielder and has talked to him over phone regarding the possible transfer. There is no doubt that Rabiot would be interested as Liverpool have become one of the most exciting sides in Europe and he could feature in the heart of the midfield.
Rabiot would get a first hand experience of the Reds when PSG visit Anfield on the 18th of September. Any interaction between Klopp and Rabiot would certainly catch the eye of the press.
If there is a possible move to Liverpool on the cards for the French midfielder, Liverpool could end up with one of the most complete midfields in Europe.
