Liverpool set to launch bid for AFC Bournemouth forward Arnaut Danjuma

Liverpool are believed to be in line to start talks with Championship outfit AFC Bournemouth over the possibility of signing the 24-year-old wide man Arnaut Danjuma this summer.

Reports from Turkish journalist Ekrem Konur claim that Jurgen Klopp’s side have zeroed in on the Championship star forward on their hunt for attacking reinforcements in the transfer window.

Danjuma enjoyed a superb campaign in the Championship with Bournemouth last season and on the back of his 15-goal tally, the player could be set for a big-money move to the Premier League with Liverpool showing a strong interest in his services.

With Harry Wilson having sealed a move to long-term suitors Fulham on a permanent basis earlier this summer and first-team outcast Xherdan Shaqiri rumourd to be nearing a move to Serie A giants Lazio in the coming weeks, the onus has fallen upon Klopp to induct some much-needed fresh blood into his side’s attacking department.

Names such as Watford’s Ismaila Sarr and Juventus star Federico Chiesa have been linked with an Anfield switch but the latter no longer remains on Liverpool’s radar owing to his high price-tag for the ongoing transfer window.
