Liverpool will be forced to lineup on Saturday against Norwich City on the opening day of the new Premier League campaign without Andy Robertson on the teamsheet.
The Scottish star full-back limped off the pitch during Liverpool’s final pre-season friendly fixture against Spanish opponents Athletic Club with the player later confirming on Twitter that he had suffered ligament damage on his ankle.
Thanks to everyone for the kind messages and support. Scan suggests nothing too major but there’s some ligament damage which will need to mend. I will be grafting every day so I can help the team again sooner rather than later. Good luck to the boys playing tonight #YNWA pic.twitter.com/urKPCLmHgS

Jurgen Klopp will now be unable to call upon his highly-rated full-back talent for Liverpool’s opening game of the season this Saturday at Carrow Road where the Merseysiders square up against the league’s new boys Norwich City.
Roberton’s deputy in the left-back role is backed to be the Greece international Kostas Tsimikas who has enjoyed a stellar pre-season for Liverpool on the back of a disappointing debut campaign at Anfield last time around.
Tsimikas moved to Merseyside last summer but failed to grab regular minutes on the football pitch which is something he will be looking to change heading into the upcoming campaign.
