Arsenal linked with a shock move for Liverpool’s fringe striker Divock Origi

Liverpool’s first-team outcast Divock Origi has emerged on Arsenal’s radar for this summer’s transfer window should Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang make the move to Juventus.

The Serie A heavyweights are credited with an interest in signing the Arsenal talisman before deadline day on Tuesday following the exit of Cristiano Ronaldo who has since staged a return to Premier League life with Manchester United.

Aubameyang’s potential exit from The Gunners camp threatens to leave the manager Mikel Arteta bereft of a star striker and Origi seems to have found himself subject to interest from the North London giants, according to reports from The Daily Express.

Having been deemed surplus to requirements by the Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp this summer, the Anfield outcast Origi could be enticed to switch to Arsenal should an offer come in the final hours of the transfer window which nears its close on Tuesday.

Origi has been a sporadic first-team player for the Reds in recent seasons but at just 26 years of age, the Belgian international will be hoping to get his career back on track on his way out of Merseyside.
