It was an exciting start to the weekend affair on Merseyside with Palace the side to threaten opening the scoring when Wilfried Zaha forced Alisson Becker to track back and palm the ball away from his goal.
Diogo Jota wasted a fantastic opportunity to give Liverpool the lead as he missed from point-blank range to score the opener when the ball fell his way from Guaita’s save of a Thiago Alcantara header.
However, Sadio Mane was the one who broke the deadlock just before the half-time break with the Senegalese, often misfiring in front of the goal this new season, found himself in the right place at the right time to net the goal after Palace goalkeeper Guaita had initially saved Salah’s effort.
Liverpool looked the better of both teams fresh after the break and Klopp’s men were largely on the front foot even as the travelling party made the most of their pacy attack to trouble the Reds defence.
Substitute Odsonne Edouard got himself at the end of a brilliant pass into the box but the striker’s first touch let him down which allowed Alisson Becker to stand his ground and make another crucial save for Liverpool.
Mohamed Salah maintained his great form in front of the goal with the Egyptian international smashing home his effort after Virgil van Dijk’s header from a Kostas Tsimikas corner came to his path inside the box.

Naby Keita, brought off the bench by Jurgen Klopp in the closing stages of the game, produced an incredible effort from outside the box to find the back of the net to make it 3-0 for Liverpool who soon wrapped up the game with another convincing win on the trot.
