Liverpool are claimed to be keeping an eye out for Feyenoord Rotterdam shot-stopper Justin Bijlow who has made great progress back in his homeland.
Reports from The Daily Express have quoted Liverpool’s goalkeeping coach John Achterberg voicing priase for Bijlow’s performenes between the sticks for Feyenoord.
“The steps Feyenoord keeper Justin Bijlow is making at club level – and also with Holland – are good. I speak to his goalkeeping coach at Feyenoord, Khalid Benlahsen, from time to time. I’m just saying that I’m watching his progress – I’m not saying that Liverpool should look at him.”
The 23-year-old Dutch goalkeeper could be a name that will be eyed up by Jurgen Klopp and Co. to bolster the goalkeeping pecking order at Anfield despite the presence of a big-name star in Alisson Becker.
Alisson has been a major figure in the Liverpool goal since his move to Merseyside in the summer of 2018 but Klopp has limited options to provide cover for the Brazilian shot-stopper should he be out on the sidelines.
Irishman Caoimhin Kelleher has proven his worth when given the opportunity to deputise for Alisson and the former is now the No.2 for Liverpool ahead of the much-experienced Adrian.
