Liverpool fringe first-teamer Divock Origi eyed up by FC Barcelona

Liverpool fringe first-teamer Divock Origi is reportedly being eyed up by FC Barcelona who are on the hunt for attacking reinforcements in the run-up to the January transfer window.

Origi has been frozen out of Jurgen Klopp’s first-team plans at Anfield for the last year or so and speculation was rife this summer that a move away from Merseyside was on the cards for the Belgium international.

Reports from Sport have indicated that FC Barcelona, on the back of their woeful start to the new season, could be in the market for a new striker come January and will be looking at Origi as a top name on the shopping list.

The La Liga heavyweights have struggled on the attacking front after letting go of Lionel Messi this summer and Ronald Koeman will be urged to bring in a fresh face for his attacking roster sooner rather than later.

Liverpool would be willing to sanction Origi’s departure for the right price with Jurgen Klopp himself keen on adding to his forward options in the upcoming transfer windows.
