Liverpool set sights on making a move for Real Madrid’s Federico Valverde

Liverpool have reportedly set their sights on making a move for Real Madrid’s midfield man Federico Valverde with Jurgen Klopp keen on landing his signature.

Valverde has fallen out of favour with the new boss Carlo Ancelotti at the Santiago Bernabeu this season and his fall down the pecking order could force the midfielder to seek a move elsewhere.

Reports from Spanish news outlet El Nacional, Liverpool are looking to raid the Real Madrid camp for securing Valverde’s services with Jurgen Klopp on the hunt for reinforcements in the midfield department.

Gini Wijnaldum’s exit from Anfield this summer has left the Reds searching for a viable replacement and Valverde, following his lack of playing time in the Spanish capital, could prove to be a top name on the transfer radar for Liverpool and Klopp.

The 23-year-old Uruguayan international was a promising talent to watch out for on the back of his breakthrough for Madrid and with age on his side, Valverde harbours the immense potential to become a star turn should he make the move to Anfield.
