Kalvin Phillips to snub Manchester United interest for Liverpool move

Leeds United midfield man Kalvin Phillips is backed to snub interest from Manchester United which could open the door for a move to Anfield for the player.

According to reports from The Daily Star, it is suggested that the 25-year-old England international will not be keen on calling it quits at Elland Road to sign for bitter rivals Manchester United in the near future.

The intense rivalry between the two clubs could make things difficult for Phillips’ family members who reside in the city and the midfielder does not harbour intentions of making the switch to the Old Trafford giants.

Such a turn of events will come as a major boost for Liverpool who have long been linked with the Leeds United first-team regular with the boss Jurgen Klopp searching for a new signing to shore up his options in the midfield roster.

The Reds are scouting the market for reinforcements following the exit of the long-serving Gini Wijnaldum this summer and Phillips is believed to be a name on the radar of the Anfield camp.
