West Ham United are understood to be keen to open talks to bring in Liverpool super-sub Divock Origi in the January transfer window.
The Belgian had been retained at Anfield beyond this summer with Jurgen Klopp unable to find a buyer for the forward who has been a bit-part player for the Liverpool boss in recent years.
Origi, however, has punched above his weight of late and helped Liverpool secure crucial wins against the likes of Wolves and AC Milan with his prowess in front of the goal.
According to reports from the journalist Pete O’Rourke( via The Daily Express), West Ham United are hoping to dip into the market come January for reinforcements in the final third as they look to bring in some competition for star striker Michail Antonio.
The 26-year-old Anfield man has six months left on his current terms with Jurgen Klopp likely to be forced into a decision over Origi’s future at the club much earlier than expected amid West Ham making their interest known.
