Liverpool face competition from Real Madrid for Ryan Gravenberch

Liverpool face competition from Real Madrid for Ryan Gravenberch who has been heavily linked with a move away from Ajax in the near future, according to reports from The Liverpool Echo.

Jurgen Klopp’s camp are on the hunt for a new midfield signing to bolster the options in the centre of the park after the long-serving Gini Wijnaldum called it quits at Anfield in the summer transfer window.

The 19-year-old Ajax starlet Gravenberch is rumoured to be lined up as a possible recruit for Liverpool ahead of the forthcoming January window where Klopp could be forced to bring in reinforcements.

Heading into the business end of the campaign and with Manchester City poised to become the runaway leaders in the league, Liverpool could do with shoring up their midfield roster and have been keeping close tabs on Gravenberch.

Barcelona and Manchester United have also been credited with a strong interest in the teenage talent but either side are unlikely to launch a bid for the Dutchman come January leaving Liverpool the favoured suitors.
