Liverpool are reportedly weighing up a move for Aston Villa midfield man Douglas Luiz with Jurgen Klopp keen to add depth to his midfield ranks.
Klopp had delayed his plans of dipping into the transfer market last summer to bring in a replacement for the then outgoing Gini Wijnaldum who signed for Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain.

According to journalist Ekrem Konur, Liverpool are looking at the possibility of signing the Brazil international Douglas Luiz from Aston Villa where the 23-year-old has emerged as a regular on the team sheet with his consistent set of displays.
Luis has put in good showings under the new management of Steven Gerrard at Villa Park and that could well be his ticket for a big-money move to Anfield with Liverpool showing strong interest in his signature.
Liverpool’s options in the centre of the park have depleted in recent times this season with Thiago Alcantara serving a lengthy spell on the sidelines with injury while Naby Keita jetted off to the Africa Cup of Nations earlier in January.
