Liverpool’s transfer target Youri Tielemans has made a big admission over his future with the Belgian midfielder out of contract at Leicester City in the summer of 2023.
Tielemans is understood to be one of the names scouted by the Liverpool camp to add depth to their midfield roster with Jurgen Klopp looking to bring in a quality signing ahead of the start of the new season.
With the 24-year-old yet to renew terms beyond the end of the 2022-23 campaign with Leicester City, the likes of Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal have been given a shot in the arm to land Tielemans’s signature.
Gini Wijnaldum’s exit from Anfield last summer has created a void in the centre of the park for Liverpool and Klopp with the Merseysiders likely to dip into the transfer market sooner rather than later for reinforcements.
Tielemans, however, has sounded out a major hint ( via Leicestershire Live) of him being keen to stay put at the King Power Stadium with the Belgium maestro saying that the club is in a good place to clinch silverware.
“Yes, why not?
“This is a club where you have the best environment you can have, especially with this new training ground. The people around you just want the best for you.
“It’s brilliant to be here. I really like it here. We’ll see what’s coming in the future.
“But I think the environment is just perfect to win trophies here. You can’t predict the future but I think everything around the club and inside the club is made for it.”
