Real Madrid are demanding a €30 million payout for parting ways with Liverpool target Marco Asensio in the summer transfer window.
The Anfield camp have long been linked with a move for Asensio’s signature with the Spain international falling down the pecking order in the Real Madrid ranks over the last couple of seasons.
With Asensio pushing for a move away from the Santiago Bernabeu sooner rather than later, Liverpool could be in line to gain ground in their longstanding pursuit with Real now willing to sanction the attacker’s sale.
A report from the Spanish news outlet El Nacional has claimed that Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has decided to cede to Asensio’s demand of calling it quits at the club this summer with no shortage of suitors in the transfer market for the Spaniard.
Perez, however, is firm on the pricing front with a €30 million asking price slapped on Asensio who has Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool outfit right in the mix for his signature with Klopp on the lookout for reinforcements ahead of the new season.
