Liverpool striker Divock Origi on the verge of signing for AC Milan

Liverpool striker Divock Origi is reportedly on the verge of signing for AC Milan with the Belgian set to agree on terms on a pre-contract basis with the Italian giants.

Origi has been heavily linked with a move away from the Anfield camp ahead of this coming summer with the striker earning sparse first-team football under the Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp’s charge.

AC Milan’s hunt for reinforcements in the final third of the pitch has taken them to the former Lille man who has served in the capacity of a bit-part player for Liverpool in recent campaigns despite his heroics off the bench.

According to a claim from the Italian news outlet CalcioMercato, Origi has signed an agreement in principle with AC Milan and is in line to complete a move to San Siro on a deal that will run until the summer of 2026.

Liverpool had landed Klopp’s long-term target in Luis Diaz in the January window earlier this year with the Columbian’s arrival on the scene adding to speculation that Origi was on the way out sooner rather than later heading into the next season.
