Liverpool are understood to be interested in making a move for Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos this coming summer transfer window.
The Spain international maestro had his last stint in England’s top flight with North Londoners Arsenal and Liverpool are now hoping to bring Ceballos in ahead of the start of the new season.
According to a report from Transfer Tavern, however, Jurgen Klopp’s Merseysiders find themselves lagging behind Serie A heavyweights Inter Milan in the chase for the Real Madrid first-team outcast.
The Italians are in pole position to land Ceballos’s signature despite the likes of Liverpool, Valencia and Sevilla also keeping close tabs on the midfielder’s contract situition in the Spanish capital where his terms are up for renewal in the summer of 2023.
A long-term injury has played spoilsport to Ceballos’s plans at the Santiago Bernebeu with Carlo Ancelotti’s side likely to cash in on the midfielder in the forthcoming transfer window amid interest shown in the player’s services from elsewhere.
