Liverpool could be in the market this summer for a new goalkeeper

Liverpool could dip in the market this coming summer for a new goalkeeper should first-team outcast Adrian call it quits at Anfield.

Adrian has found limited game time coming his way on Merseyside and the veteran Spanish shot-stopper could be interested in making the move away from the Liverpool fold ahead of the new season’s start.

With the young Irishman Caoimhin Kelleher growing into the goalkeeping understudy for Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool side, Adrian’s role in the ranks has become marginalised of late which could lead to his likely exit sooner rather than later.

According to a report from The Liverpool Echo, it is claimed that the Reds camp could be on the lookout for a third-choice goalkeeper in the summer window with the incoming sporting director Julian Ward set to be involved in his first assignment.

The Liverpool boss Klopp has regularly worked with a minimum of three keepers in the senior fold since the German took charge at Anfield and the events are not expected to be subject to a big change going ahead.
