Newcastle, meanwhile, cruised past the league’s relegation favourites Norwich City with a 3-0 scoreline to make it a four-game winning streak for Eddie Howe’s side.
Their defensive resilliance of late is sure to face a stern challenge when taking on the quadruple-chasing Liverpool who have been in top form themselves as they look to pip Manchester City to the Premier League crown.
