Liverpool mulling over triggering release clause for PSV’s Ibrahim Sangare

Liverpool are understood to be mulling over triggering the release clause for PSV’s Ibrahim Sangare who is available for a modest €37.5 million fee this summer.

The midfield maestro has been a standout performer in the centre of the park for his side which has earned him attention from the Premier League with the likes of Aston Villa and Newcastle United keeping close tabs.

Jurgen Klopp’s hunt for reinforcements in midfield, which has been underway since the last summer when Gini Wijnaldum exited the Anfield fold, could well come to a close with Sangare emerging on Klopp’s radar.

According to a report from the Dutch outlet Voetbal International, it is claimed that Liverpool are tempted to meet the release clause fee to land Sangare ahead of the midfielder’s other suitors in the transfer market.

The Anfield giants are tipped to have scouted Sangare across the final stages of the soon to be concluded campaign with the 23-year-old defensive midfielder putting out stellar displays to earn what could be a big-ticket move to England’s top flight.
