Liverpool have reportedly made contact with Ousmane Dembele to replace the outgoing Sadio Mane who is nearing his exit from the Anfield fold this summer.
Mane is understood to have conveyed his decision to the Liverpool board with the former Saints forward asking for a move away as he seeks a new challenge in his career with German giants Bayern Munich rumoured to be the frontrunners for his signature.
Dembele’s future at Camp Nou beyond the summer too has been subject to much speculation with the highly-rated French winger yet to agree upon extended terms with some of Europe’s biggest clubs keeping close tabs on his situation.
According to a report from Sport, Jurgen Klopp’s Merseysiders are tipped to be amongst them, with the Liverpool camp readying an offer to lure to ex-Dortmund winger to England’s top flight despite Chelsea and PSG right in the mix.
Klopp is on the hunt for reinforcements in the attacking third of the pitch with the Liverpool boss in line to lose his long-serving mainstay Mane to Bayern just days after the Reds tasted defeat in the Champions League final against Real Madrid.
