Liverpool are believed to be involved in a four-way contest for French winger Ousmane Dembele who appears certain to leave FC Barcelona this summer.
Dembele is set to head into free agency when his terms at Camp Nou come to a close at the end of this month despite Barcelona pushing for the forward to sign a new long-term deal and commit his future to the club.
Jurgen Klopp’s Merseysiders have been linked with a move for the France international in the past and with Sadio Mane looking for a move away from Anfield this summer, Klopp could be tempted to revive his interest in courting Dembele’s signature.
According to a report from the Spanish news outlet El Nacional, Liverpool are one of a host of top sides across the continent who are keeping close tabs on Dembele’s fast escalating contract situation ahead of the June 31 deadline.
Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea and Bayern Munich are the other suitors for the ex-Borussia Dortmund man which could complicate matters in Liverpool’s pursuit as Klopp remains keen on adding to his attacking ranks.
