Manchester City hopeful of piping Liverpool to sign Bukayo Saka

Premier League champions Manchester City are hopeful of piping arch rivals Liverpool to land Bukayo Saka’s signature this summer from Arsenal.

Pep Guardiola’s side are mulling over the opportunity to capitalise on the Arsenal winger’s contract standoff by making a move for his services with Liverpool also credited with a strong interest in the England international.

The 20-year-old’s long-term future in the English capital is becoming a source of ferocious speculation as of late with Arsenal unable to persuade their attacking talent to renew his terms and rebuff the suitors in the market.

Arsenal missing out on Champions League football for the upcoming season complicates matters for Mikel Arteta and Co. and could be the push required by Manchester City in their attempts to lure Saka to the Etihad this summer, according to The Daily Mail ( via TalkSport).

Liverpool would be keen on tabling an offer for the Arsenal first-teamer with Jurgen Klopp’s hunt for attacking reinforcements underway amid growing uncertainty of Sadio Mane’s links with Bayern Munich.
