Liverpool have touched base with the representatives of Real Madrid playmaker Marco Asensio with Jurgen Klopp hopeful of doing more business in this summer’s transfer window.
The Merseyside heavyweights have already brought in Darwin Nunez, Fabio Carvalho and more recently Calvin Ramsay to bolster the Anfield ranks ahead of the start of the season in which they hope to pip Manchester City to the top-flight title.
According to the Spanish news outlet AS, it is claimed that the Reds want to move in for the unsettled Asensio who is looking for the exit route out of the Santiago Bernabeu before the window shuts.
With Liverpool preparing for life without the long-serving wide player Sadio Mane, Jurgen Klopp could be convinced of adding another signing to his attacking ranks in Asensio despite splashing a potential club record fee on Darwin Nunez.
Asensio is also wanted by North London giants Arsenal and Liverpool’s arch rivals Manchester United with an intense battle amongst the three Premier League bigwigs expected to be sparked off in the near future.
