Liverpool mulling over making £34 million bid for Porto’s Otavio

Liverpool are mulling over making a £34 million bid for Porto’s Otavio in the unlikely possibility of Mohamed Salah heading out the exit door at Anfield this summer.

Salah’s future in the colours of Liverpool has attracted fresh speculation as of late with rumours doing the rounds that Jurgen Klopp could give the nod for Salah’s move away from the club before the close of the transfer window.

The Egypt international has a year remaining on his current terms with Liverpool who are not willing to cede to the player’s demands for a major bump in wages to commit his future on Merseyside beyond 2023.

According to a report from The Daily Mirror, in the hopes of lining up a viable replacement for Salah, the Liverpool camp are expected to step up their interest in Porto’s Brazilian wide player Otavio.

The Primeira Liga heavyweights are open to doing business with Otavio’s suitors in the market but are looking have put a price tag of around £38 million with Liverpool’s interest rivalled by fellow Premier League side Leeds United.
