Liverpool have reportedly agreed upon a £17 million deal with Nottingham Forest for the sale of Neco Williams this summer, according to a claim from The Liverpool Echo.
The Premier League new boys Forest have been prioritising a transfer for the Wales international Williams who has been made available by Liverpool following Jurgen Klopp’s recruitment of the Scottish full-back Calvin Ramsay.
With Ramsay in line to deputise for Trent Alexander-Arnold in the right-back role, Williams was deemed surplus to requirements in the ongoing transfer window and the defender looks set to sign for long-standing suitors Nottingham Forest.
Personal terms still need to be penned between the Tricky Trees and Williams whose sale could fetch Liverpool a fee up to £17 million which would be of much significance to the coffers at Anfield after a busy summer for Klopp and Co.
Williams leaving would be the fourth big-name player to head out the exit door at Anfield after Sadio Mane , Takumi Minamino and Divock Origi with the latter joining AC Milan earlier this week.
