Liverpool have reportedly thrown their hat in the ring for Shakhtar Donetsk winger Mykhaylo Mudryk along with Premier League rivals Arsenal.
The Ukraine international forward has earned rave reviews for his showings in the Donetsk shirt and could be subject to serious interest from some of the biggest clubs across Europe, according to the rumour mill.
A report from the Italian news outlet Calciomercato ( via The Liverpool Echo) has credited the Reds with a strong interest in moving in for the player with Jurgen Klopp’s side said to be keeping close tabs on the situation.
The Liverpool head coach Klopp is likely to dip into the transfer market sooner rather than later for attacking reinforcements after parting ways with the long-serving Sadio Mane in the summer to Bayern Munich.
Mudryk can prove to be a direct replacement for Mane rather than the summer signing Darwin Nunez who operates in the central striking role and is not expected to be used in the wide positions by the Liverpool camp.
