Liverpool vs Rangers – Liverpool’s Predicted Lineup | Champions League

Liverpool will aim to solidify their spot in group A of the UEFA Champions League as they host Rangers on Thursday.

The visitors cannot afford another loss if they want to stay in the competition because they have already lost both of their opening games.

The Reds had an adventurous weekend match as they turned a 2-0 deficit into a 3-2 lead over Brighton & Hove Albion at Anfield on Saturday. However, the Reds were unable to hold on to the advantage as Leandro Trossard scored a wonderful hat-trick late in the game.

Liverpool now has just two victories in their first seven league games, but they will try to catch up to Napoli in Group A by defeating Rangers on Tuesday.

Jurgen Klopp will aim for six points from their two games against the Scottish Premiership, which will include back-to-back matchups between Napoli and Ajax in the next two matchdays.

A match at Anfield is not the best choice for any travelling team that has yet to earn its first point in the competition, but the Reds may find it difficult to handle van Bronckhorst’s side’s intense style of play.

Let us now take a look at how Jurgen Klopp might set up his Liverpool side against Rangers –

4-3-3

The Reds will witness a few changes in the starting XI with Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz crawling back into the starting XI. Klopp would prefer the more attacking-minded youngster Harvey Elliott ahead of Fabinho.

The back-line would be the same as Kostas Tsimikas will preserve his place in the line-up head of the injured Andy Robertson.
