Fiorentina have reportedly slapped a €40 million price tag on Liverpool target Sofyan Amrabat’s head following the midfielder’s dazzling displays at the World Cup in Qatar.
The Morocco international midfielder has been pivotal to his nation becoming the first African side to reach the semi-finals where they lock horns with the defending champions France later this week.
According to a report from Relevo, it is claimed that the Serie A outfit Fiorentina, who were previously believed to be keen on retaining their in-demand star, could be willing to part ways with him for a €40 million asking price.
Liverpool are one of several interested parties in the 27-year-old Amrabat on the back of his World Cup showings as Jurgen Klopp’s side hunt for the best option to reinforce their under-fire midfield roster in the January transfer window.
An initial €30 million with a further €10 million in performance-related add-ons is deemed enough to convince Fiorentina to green light a move elsewhere for Amrabat who has courted attention from some of Europe’s biggest clubs.
