According to a claim made by the transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool are amongst the sides keeping tabs on French talent Manu Kone despite Monchengladbach remaining firm on not parting ways with the player until the end of the season.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Naby Keita and James Milner are out of contract at Anfield next summer and there is pressure on Klopp to overhaul his options in the centre of the park by signing a fresh pair of legs to give his midfield extra impetus.
Borussia Dortmund sensation Jude Bellingham is said to be the top name on the wishlist for the Liverpool manager but a January move for the English midfielder is out of the question despite a big-money offer rumoured to be in the works.
