Liverpool played out a 2-2 draw at home against Wolves in Saturday’s FA Cup third-round clash which sets the stage for a replay at the Molineux.

Mo Salah and new boy Cody Gakpo came close to scoring early on for the home side as Wolves were thwarted on the other end of the pitch by Ibrahima Konate.
The visitors broke the deadline before the half hour mark with Alisson Becker’s misplaced pass allowing Wolves forward Guedes to find the back of the net and make it 1-0 for his side.
Liverpool levelled the affair with half-time looming as Trent Alexander-Arnold produced a wonder of a cross into the box which was finished off by a volley from Darwin Nunez.
The home side took just seven minutes after the start of the second period to take the lead with Salah getting on the scoresheet after a loose defensive header fell his way.
Nunez headed over his effort over the bar as Liverpool remained on the search for that third goal to rubber stamp a win and advance to the next round.
Wolves, however, fought their way back through substitute Hee-Chan Hwang who slotted the ball past Alisson to make the scoreline 2-2 with few minutes left to play.
Liverpool were granted a major respite in the dying embers of the game with a strike from Tote Gomes ruled out due to offside with VAR upholding the decision.
