Liverpool mulling over a move for Wolves midfield star Ruben Neves

Liverpool are mulling over a move for Wolves midfield star Ruben Neves with the Portugal international’s contract in the Midlands entering its final 18 months.

Jurgen Klopp’s side lost 3-0 away at Brighton on Saturday, the second defeat in top-flight football on the bounce for the Reds, and the Liverpool boss is under pressure to reinforce his midfield options sooner rather than later.

Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and James Milner are all out of contract at Anfield in the summer and both Keita and Chamberlain have been linked with moves elsewhere as they are likely to head into free agency at the end of the season.

According to a report from The Daily Mirror, it is claimed that Liverpool are keeping tabs on Wolves maestro Ruben Neves whose current terms with the Midlands outfit are due to expire in the summer of 2024.

Neves was once valued at £70 million, the midfielder is expected to be made available by his club for a knockdown price with his price tag on the downside with every week he fails to sign extended terms.
